His first appearance as Twilight was in the first issue of the "Long Way Home" story arc (2007); the name "Twilight" was divulged in the final issue of the "No Future For You" story arc. Within the series, Twilight is a masked person who opposes series heroine Buffy Summers with a plan to bring about the "end of magic" (first alluded to in Whedons 2003 miniseries Fray) and dismantle Buffys Slayer army, which was activated in the final episode of the television series.
